Part 1: One part of the writing process that i find the most challenging is the drafting part. It takes a long time to do, and it's hard to put all your ideas together into one essay. Writing three to five paragraphs is very complicated to me because there's just so many words to write. It's overwhelming. I struggle with it because I don't always know what to talk about. Especially when it's not a good topic. During the year in English 1 Honors I hope to get better at drafting.
Part 2: To improve my drafting skills, I could write more essays on topics that I like. I could also, read articles on drafting, so that I could get more ideas on how to draft better. Another thing I could do to get better at drafting is to learn how to brainstorm my ideas before writing an essay. I never pre-write my essays, so that could be one reason why I don't write as good. To improve my writing, I could start brainstorming my ideas, so I'm more organized. I hope throughout the year, I will improve a lot on pre-writing my ideas and writing essays.
